The Organisations Purposes are, for the Public Benefit to Advance Education in the fields of Religion, Science and Philosophy and the comparative study thereof and in such other ways as the Charity Trustees think fit. Thereby also to promote moral and spiritual welfare.


To Promote Religious and or Racial Harmony through promotion of understanding and fellowship among people of all races, nationalities, philosophies and religions.

Protocol for Application For Funding or Other Support



This Protocol is agreed by the Trustees of the Charity and relates to the Terms and Condition surrounding any offer of Financial or Other Support to Applicants or Referrals to this Charity.


1. Any Group or Individual can make application for funding.


2. The Application can be directly from a Group or Individual or by Recommendation from a Third Party.


3. The Application must be in writing and it must outline fully what the funding or support is required for.


4. The Application/s must be broadly in keeping with the Constitution of the Theosophical Society in Scotland Charity (as outlined at the bottom of this Protocol).


5. The Applicant must be willing to share the most recent set of accounts relating to the Group or Individual and to be willing to give an up to date account of their present financial situation.  If necessary the Trustees of this Charity may ask for personal references or testimonials. The Trustees of this Charity reserve the right to request any information they feel is pertinent to all applications for Financial Assistance. The Trustees of this Charity will treat all personal information in the strictest of confidence.


6.  The Trustees of this Charity will only pay any Granted Funding directly into the Bank Account of the Recipient Applicant and not to any third party.


7. The Trustees of this Charity will not at any time be responsible for any misuse of any Grants or for any promises or guarantees made by the Recipient to any other parties.


8. All successful Applications will be for a One Off Grant of Funding or Other Support. Any future requests for Assistance will be treated as a New Application and the same Terms and Conditions as outlined in this Protocol will apply.
